Akeso wellness
The Story
Akeso Wellness is a Texas based wellness business founded by a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience, and a beloved member of her local medical community. For years she regularly administered and received the very same IV drip therapies and IM injections she wished to incorporate into her own brand. She was driven by a desire to make scientifically-backed, holistic wellness accessible to all.
The design process began with a few key tenets – the founder’s desire to centre it around wellness (integral to her culture), avoid a clinical feel while maintaining the distinction of being operated solely by medical professionals, and to represent her diverse community of patients. Named after the Greek goddess of well-being, the branding, website and illustrations were designed to reflect this inviting spirit.
The branding
A visual identity which is also its promise. Centred around the sun – a timeless emblem of vitality, life, and energy.
This symbolism resonates across cultures, befitting the brand’s diverse clientele and offerings.
The visual identity was extended to represent each core patient concern. In a departure from the traditional product-first approach, a unique problem-first strategy to her offerings reduced confusion amongst first time customers and past clients seeking newer therapies. These undertones were carried forward into a set of custom brand illustrations for each vertical.
